An insured visit is not necessarily a fixed copay, and a membership is not prescription coverage. Ask for the cost of the appointment under your particular plan and then price the medication separately. Our guide to comparing ED costs includes a worksheet for doing that.
The consultation is the main reason to compare it
PlushCare describes a video conversation about symptoms and medical history, followed by a prescription when the doctor considers it appropriate. The service explicitly says it cannot treat every case remotely. Ask what happens if you need a physical exam, lab work, or referral, including who receives the results and what follow-up costs.
Its ED page excludes penile injections, alprostadil, and testosterone. Someone already looking for injection therapy should clarify specialist access before paying for a visit expecting that prescription.
Compare the same prescription at the pharmacy
Local pharmacy choice lets you compare a cash quote with your insurance price. Keep drug, strength, quantity, and formulation identical across quotes. A low advertised price for a different tablet strength is not a useful comparison. A doctor still decides which prescription, if any, is appropriate.
